Print designready for the press.

Book covers, posters, programs and brochures, designed with the same care as your website and prepared so your printer has no questions.

What we design and prepare

The design, plus the technical preparation that keeps a good file from failing at the printer.

  • Book covers

Front, back and spine, built to your printer's trim and bleed at full resolution.

  • Posters and programs

Event posters, programs and signage that match the rest of your brand.

  • Brochures

Trifolds, sales sheets and leave-behinds made to be handed out.

  • Banners and signage

Trade show displays, yard signs and large banners at the right resolution for their size.

  • Cards and stationery

Business cards, letterhead and envelopes to match your brand.

  • Print-ready files

CMYK PDFs with bleed and crop marks, plus notes for your printer.

The part your printer checks

A cover is built wider than it looks, so nothing important gets trimmed off. These are the lines we set up on every file.

  • Bleed. Artwork runs past the edge so no white shows after the cut.
  • Trim. Where the blade actually cuts.
  • Safe area. Text stays inside this line.
  • Spine. Sized to the page count and paper stock.

Print still gets noticed

A well-made book cover, program or brochure gets picked up, passed around and kept. People judge the work by the piece in their hands.

We handle the technical side: CMYK color, bleed, resolution, and the back-and-forth with your printer. What you send to press is ready to print.

Print usually moves faster than a website, and a set of pieces designed together costs less than the same pieces ordered one at a time.

How a print project runs

Every print job starts by confirming the printer's specs, before anything is designed.

  1. 01

    Brief

You send the content, sizes, printer and brand files. We confirm the specs before designing.

  2. 02

    Draft

A first design for your review.

  3. 03

    Revise

You mark it up, and we make the changes.

  4. 04

    Deliver

A print-ready PDF with a preflight summary, plus a version for web and email.

Questions people ask

Do we need to provide the text?

Usually, yes. Most clients supply their own text. If you'd rather not write it, copywriting is available as an add-on.

Can you match our existing brand?

Yes. If your brand is well defined, we follow it closely. If it's loose, we'll help tighten it before the print work starts.

Which printer should we use?

We can recommend printers we trust, or build files to the specs of the printer you already use.

Can you design a series of pieces at once?

Yes, and it usually works out better. The pieces look like they belong together, and a set usually costs less than ordering the same pieces one at a time.

Do you handle the printing?

We prepare the files and work with your printer, and you order and pay for the printing directly. That keeps the cost and the schedule in your hands.
