Services/Web design

Web designdesigned around your business.

Every site we design starts with your business, your customers and what the site needs to do. Then we build it in WordPress so you can run it yourself.

What every project includes

No hidden phases or surprise line items. Every web design project includes all of this.

  • Custom design

A design made for your business, your brand and your customers. We don't start from a purchased theme.

  • Built for phones first

Tested at every screen size, from a small phone to a wide desktop monitor.

  • Fast at launch

Images, scripts and caching set up during the build, so the site passes Google's speed tests on day one.

  • Accessible

Readable contrast, keyboard navigation and screen reader labels, checked against WCAG 2.1 AA.

  • Ready for search

Clean headings, page titles, descriptions, schema markup and a sitemap for Google.

  • Training and support

A walkthrough so you can update your own pages, and help after launch.

From the first sketch to the finished site

Every page is planned in pencil before it's built. Scroll to see three of them finished.

Designed around what your site is for

A good website has a job. For a contractor it might be the phone call. For a shop it's the sale, and for a nonprofit it's the donation or the sign-up. We work out what that job is before we draw anything.

We build in WordPress with Elementor, so you aren't locked into anything unusual. You can edit your own pages, and so can any developer you hire later.

If your brand needs work first, we can do that too. It's easier to design a site around a finished identity than to change the identity halfway through.

How a website project runs

Every project moves through the same four stages, and you'll always know which one you're in.

  1. 01

    Discovery

We talk through your goals, your customers and your timeline. You get a written proposal within a few days.

  2. 02

    Design

We design and build on a private staging copy, so you review real, working pages instead of pictures.

  3. 03

    Refine

You tell us what to change, and we take whatever time this stage needs.

  4. 04

    Launch

Final checks, the switch to your domain, and a walkthrough so you can make your own updates.

Questions people ask

How long does a website take?

It depends mostly on how soon your content is ready: the text, the photos and the logo. We set a realistic schedule together during discovery.

Do we own the site?

Yes. You own the WordPress installation, the files, the content and every login. If you ever move to another developer, you take all of it with you.

What if we need changes after launch?

Small adjustments right after launch are part of the project. After that, a Care Plan covers ongoing changes each month, or we bill one-off requests at $125 an hour.

Can you write the content?

Yes, copywriting is available as an add-on. Most clients write their own and we edit it for the web.

What do you need from us to get started?

A signed proposal, a deposit, your logo files, and access to your domain and current hosting. If some of that is missing, we'll help you track it down.
